Outdoor Wednesday Panola Mountain State Park

It is Outdoor Wednesday time!  My husband and I visited Panola Mountain State Park in Stockbridge, Georgia last week.  This is a lovely park!  This park has paved biking and walking trails, a fitness trail, a beautiful lake area, picnic shelters, a playground, and a wonderful nature center.  We went on a five mile walk on the paved trail around the lake.  There is a 3.5 mile hike to the mountain, but you need to make reservations for that one.  Panola Mountain is a 100-acre granite outcrop very similar to Stone Mountain.  We had a wonderful time and hope to return to try the archery range and tree climbing!  Thanks to http://asoutherndaydreamer.blogspot.com/

What a lovely park, Kim. My mother is from Atlanta and I went to Emory so am very partial to the state. Thanks for the kind comments on my post of Bud’s black and whites this week. Wood’s Creek is definitely a serene area and he loves to walk there on this lunch hour.

Hello Kim,

Loved your blog and pics of Panola. As a chiropractor in Atlanta, I've had the opportunity to get out to Panola many times. It's a great place to get away and not too far from the ATL.

Keep sharing.
