Week in Review and Upcoming Activities

This past week my sister, sister-in-law, and niece took my Mother out to eat for her birthday. We went to a wonderful tea room that was decorated for the holidays. It was the first night of their holiday open house. I loved this snowman decorated tree! This wreath was just beautiful. We were able to have the Mother's Room, which is basically a private room. It was great for our birthday celebration!

This picture is a little fuzzy. This was the tree that was in our room. I wish I had gotten a better picture of the top of the tree. It was stunning!

This is my niece holding my sister's baby boy. This niece is my brother's daughter and she is a sweetheart!

This is Mom holding my nephew. My older brother's wife is in the red sweater. The room we were in was decorated so lovely. I just wanted to decorate my house the minute I got home!

It was a great evening with the "girls" and our sweet little "boy" guest. We hope to make it an annual tradition. The decorations were amazing and the food was wonderful. Another great plus, which was a wonderful surprise, was our server. The daughter of one of my friends was our server. She is the sweetest, most beautiful girl. She did a super job and I was grateful she was our server.

This coming week, along with our schoolwork, I hope to get alot of deep cleaning done in preparation for Thanksgiving. I think this year I would like to get our outside Christmas decorations up in time for Thanksgiving day. I love Christmas, but I like to wait to put my inside decorations up the day after Thanksgiving. So much to do!

Week in Review and Upcoming Activities

This has been a whirlwind week with us getting ready for vacation. It has gone well and we are all looking forward to spending time with family at the beach. My parents are coming over to feed our pets, so that is a wonderful blessing. I will not be posting until we get back, so I wish everyone a wonderful weekend and upcoming week. I also want to thank everyone for the kind comments. I am making so many new blogger friends that I enjoy keeping up with.

Our upcoming activities are to relax on the beach! Sounds good to me!

Weekly Menu, Upcoming activities

What a wonderful weekend we had! We had a yard sale on Friday and Saturday. On Saturday we went to a family reunion and visited with family members we haven't seen in a while. Then, we started our week in worship with other believers. The message that was preached was one that I needed. The lesson dealt with hiding God's word in your heart, studying and knowing God's word. I needed this boost to really dig down deep and commit to memory God's word and to make sure that we don't let other activities take precedence over the study of God's word in our home. The fellowship was also very encouraging. What a great way to start the week!

The menu for this week is:

Monday: Cheesy Lasagna, Cheesy Italian Bread, Salad, Pudding, Tea, Water

Tuesday: Crispy Fried Chicken, Green Beans, Salad, Rolls, Tea, Water

Wednesday: Black Bean Enchiladas, Chips & Salsa, Salad, Cookies, Tea, Water

Thursday: Spaghetti & Italian Meatballs, Garlic Bread, Salad, Fruit, Tea, Water

Friday: Homemade Pizza, Breadsticks, Salad, Brownies, Tea, Water

Saturday: Traveling

Chores for today:

Laundry, Wash all bedding, finish cleaning pool, pack up remaining yard sale items and donate, clean bathrooms

Paperwork to be completed today:

Mail attendance forms to Department of Education, check to see that Clint has finished his thank-you notes
