I wanted to share a few pictures of the recital and reception. My mother ordered this cake for him. I thought it turned out really nice!
It was so nice to talk to relatives that I haven't seen in quite a while.
The day went very well. My son appreciated all the well wishes and support of those who were able to make it and those who couldn't be there, but sent words of encouragement. Sometimes there are things in life that try to crowd out the really important. Events like this bring us back to family and friends and the fellowship that is so very important in our lives.
"Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards city, the watchman stays awake in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows; for so He gives His beloved sleep. Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward, like arrows in the hand of a warrior, so are the children of one's youth, happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; they shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with their enemies in the gate." Psalm 127
"When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would have not a single bit of talent left and could say, "I used everything You gave me." Erma Bombeck
Enjoy your Tuesday!

Kim, what a beautiful post! I always felt a little heartache when one of the girls moved out of the house. And let me tell you, I worry about them just as much now as I did when they were little! But give yourself a pat on the back that he is able to make this step. I'm sure you've done a great job. Blessings to you!
